Ceramics Studio Courses

We offer short hand building and wheel throwing course for beginners and experienced participants.

The short courses were designed to provide an overview of the pottery process and techniques.  I believe it takes time to develop personal ideas and styles.  Often these are difficult to achieve in a course setting.  Participants are encouraged to further enhance the skills and to refine them with further practices by moving on to the studio time packages. Guidance is usually provided upon the availability of  the instructor.

Further note regarding the fundamental wheel throwing course.  Practice is key in mastering the wheel.  

Pottery Workshops

A once off pottery experience that can be customised according to the event and intentions.  These sessions are usually 3 hours and can be scheduled depending on the availability of studio and instructor.

Of Materials and Firing

Studio offers 4 main types of stoneware with possibility of speciality clay such as porcelain, raku, depending on participants abilities and preferences.  We fire our works to high temperature and most of the glazes available in the studio are formulated by Yan.
